Who is here

Most women over fifty on the site are widowed or long divorced, have adult children and often grandchildren, and describe a life that is already full — work or a pension, a garden, a church, friends — with one thing missing. They tend to write longer, more concrete profiles than younger members, and to ask concrete questions back: where would we live, what do you do on Sundays, do you cook. Several list Mykolaiv, Kyiv and Odesa; a few have moved to Poland or Germany.

English is often limited at this age, and patience with that — plain sentences, and a willingness to talk on video slowly — is what they notice. Many mention that they do not want to emigrate before they have met a man more than once, and that is a reasonable position to respect.

If you are over 55 yourself

You are not late. Write about your actual life and your actual health honestly, say whether you can travel, and ask her the same. Plan for several video calls before any talk of meeting, and for a first meeting in an EU city.
