Privacy policy

What we collect, why, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: 13 September 2026. This version replaces the Privacy Policy dated 5 September 2026. Sections 2.7 and 9 now describe the usage analytics, crash reports and install-source information collected by the Android application starting with build 37.

Website:https://annabrides.com

This Privacy Policy explains how ANNABRIDES LTD collects, uses, discloses, stores and otherwise processes personal data when you use the Annabrides website, mobile application and related services (the Services).

Annabrides is an adult dating service. You must be at least 18 years old, or older if the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction is higher, to use the Services.

1. Who we are

ANNABRIDES LTD operates the Services and is the controller of personal data processed for the Annabrides platform unless this Policy states otherwise.

Controller: ANNABRIDES LTD

Company number: 17430138

Registered office: 124-128 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom

Website:https://annabrides.com

Privacy and support email:support@annabrides.com

In this Policy, Annabrides, we, us and our mean ANNABRIDES LTD. You and your mean a visitor, applicant or registered user of the Services.

2. Personal data we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use the Services.

2.1 Account and authentication data

We may collect:

  • your name, username, email address and telephone number;
  • password hash and authentication records;
  • date of birth, age, gender, country, city and language;
  • account identifier, registration date, account status and settings; and
  • records showing acceptance of the Terms of Use and acknowledgement of this Policy.

You may create or access an account using a username and password. If you choose Sign in with Google, we may receive your name, email address, profile image, Google account identifier and authentication token according to the permissions shown by Google. We do not receive your Google password.

2.2 Profile and matching data

Information you choose to add to your profile may include:

  • display name, age, gender and general location;
  • photographs and videos;
  • biography, interests, education, occupation and languages;
  • physical characteristics and lifestyle information;
  • relationship preferences and matching criteria;
  • marital status, family information, religion or ethnicity; and
  • sexual orientation, information concerning sex life or other information you voluntarily provide.

Some profile information may reveal special-category or otherwise sensitive personal data. Section 7 explains how we process such information.

2.3 Communications and activity

We may process:

  • messages, letters, chat content and attachments sent through the Services;
  • photographs, videos and other media exchanged through the Services;
  • technical information associated with video communication;
  • searches, profile views, likes, favourites, blocks and reports;
  • moderation, complaint and support records;
  • credit balances, purchase history and records of paid features used; and
  • login, security and account-activity records.

Communications through the Services are not represented as end-to-end encrypted. Authorised personnel may access relevant communications where reasonably necessary to provide support, investigate a report, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our rules, protect users, resolve a payment dispute or comply with law.

2.4 Payments and credits

The website and the Android application are two different payment systems, and the information that reaches us differs accordingly.

On the website, payment is taken by our payment provider CentroBill, and we and that provider may process:

  • billing name, billing country and contact details;
  • transaction amount, currency, date and status;
  • credits or services purchased;
  • payment-method type, payment token and transaction identifier;
  • limited card information made available by the payment provider, such as the last four digits; and
  • refunds, disputes, chargebacks and fraud-risk information.

Complete payment-card details are collected directly by the payment provider on its own secure page and are not intended to be stored by Annabrides.

In the Android application, credits and membership levels are sold through Google Play. The payment is taken by Google under its own terms, on Google's screens, and Annabrides receives from Google only the product identifier, the purchase token and the order identifier, which we use to credit your account and to check the purchase with Google. We receive no card information from an application purchase at all — not the card number, not the last four digits and not the cardholder name — and the application contains no screen for entering a card.

2.5 Verification data

The Annabrides Android application does not collect any of the material listed in this section. It contains no screen for uploading an identification document, no verification selfie and no verification video, and it does not ask you for any of them. This section describes what we may process where verification is carried out outside the application — on the website, or in answer to a request we send you by email.

To verify profiles, age, authenticity and eligibility, we may process:

  • legal name, date of birth and contact details;
  • passport, national identity card or another identification document;
  • photographs or selfies used for verification;
  • verification video;
  • marital-status information or supporting documents where required for verification;
  • the verification outcome and the date it was reviewed; and
  • duplicate-profile, impersonation, scam and ban-evasion indicators.

Access to verification materials is limited to authorised persons who need it for verification, safety, fraud prevention, complaints or legal compliance.

2.6 Support and complaints

When you contact us, we may collect your contact details, account information, the content and attachments of your request, information reasonably required to verify your identity, and records of our response.

2.7 Device and technical data

We may automatically collect:

  • IP address and general location derived from it;
  • device type, operating system, browser, language and application version;
  • login time, pages or screens viewed and feature interactions;
  • security, error, performance and diagnostic logs; and
  • cookie and local-storage identifiers, and — where you have allowed them, or where the law of your country does not require your permission for them — analytics and advertising identifiers such as the analytics client identifier and the click identifiers (gclid, gbraid, wbraid, fbclid) that an advertisement adds to the link you arrive on. These website cookie and advertising-measurement identifiers are not used in the Android application, and the application does not collect the advertising identifier (AD_ID). The application separately collects the usage analytics, crash reports and install-source information described in section 9.5. Section 9 explains the difference and how to change your mind.

2.8 Information from other sources

We may receive relevant information from other users, Google when you use Google Sign-In, payment providers, banks, card schemes, fraud-prevention services, and courts, regulators or law-enforcement authorities where legally permitted.

3. Information visible to other users

Depending on your profile and settings, other users may see your display name, age, gender, general location, photographs, videos, biography, interests, languages, matching information, verification status and activity status.

Your password, full identity documents, complete payment-card details and precise home address are not intended to be publicly displayed by Annabrides.

Do not publish passwords, identification numbers, banking details, your exact home address or other information that could expose you to fraud or physical risk. Information you send to another user may be copied or redistributed by that person outside our control.

4. Service providers who process data for us

We use service providers to run the Services. They process personal data only on our instructions and only for the purposes described in this Policy: hosting and storage, security, email delivery, delivery of push notifications to your device, payment processing, and the media server that carries the picture and sound of a video call while it is in progress.

A provider acts as a processor where it handles personal data solely under Annabrides' instructions. A provider may act as an independent controller for activities it determines itself; where it does, its own privacy notice also applies to those activities.

We require appropriate confidentiality, security and data-protection obligations from every provider that processes data for Annabrides. A provider may not sell personal data received from Annabrides or use it for unrelated marketing. We may suspend or terminate a provider's access where these requirements are breached.

5. How and why we use personal data

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • creating, authenticating and administering accounts;
  • displaying profiles and providing search and matching;
  • enabling messages, media exchange and video communication;
  • maintaining credit balances and delivering paid features;
  • processing payments, refunds, disputes and chargebacks;
  • verifying age, identity, profile authenticity and eligibility;
  • detecting scams, fake or duplicate profiles, account takeover, spam, abuse and prohibited conduct;
  • reviewing reports, complaints and appeals;
  • providing customer support and service notices;
  • sending marketing communications where legally permitted;
  • maintaining, securing, diagnosing and improving the Services; and
  • complying with legal, accounting, tax and regulatory obligations and defending legal claims.

Depending on the activity, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:

  • Contract: processing necessary to provide the Services or paid features you requested.
  • Legal obligation: processing required to comply with applicable law.
  • Legitimate interests: operating and securing the Services, preventing fraud and abuse, protecting users, improving functionality and defending legal rights, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent: processing based on a choice you can withdraw.
  • Explicit consent: where required for special-category data.

6. Safety, moderation and fraud prevention

We may review relevant account data, verification materials, communications and transactions where reasonably necessary to investigate a report, suspected scam, impersonation, abuse, account compromise, chargeback or serious violation of our rules.

We may request additional verification, remove content, restrict access, suspend or terminate an account, preserve relevant evidence and cooperate with payment providers or competent authorities where lawful.

Annabrides cannot control communications, meetings or transactions outside the Services. Never send money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, passwords or payment-card details to another user. If you suspect fraud or harmful conduct, stop communicating, preserve relevant evidence, use the reporting tools and contact support@annabrides.com.

7. Special-category and sensitive data

A dating profile may reveal sexual orientation, information concerning sex life, health, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs or other sensitive information.

Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, processing special-category data requires a lawful basis under Article 6 and an additional condition under Article 9. Where we rely on explicit consent, we request it separately. Accepting the Terms of Use or acknowledging this Privacy Policy does not constitute consent to every processing activity.

You may withdraw consent using available account controls or by contacting support@annabrides.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. A feature that depends on the relevant data may no longer be available after consent is withdrawn.

8. Marketing communications

Where legally permitted, we may send information about Annabrides features, services and offers by email or another communication channel you have enabled.

You may opt out through the unsubscribe link, available account settings or by contacting support@annabrides.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop authentication, security, payment, support or other necessary service messages.

9. Cookies, local storage and analytics

Annabrides uses cookies, local storage and similar technologies in two groups, and the two are not treated the same way. Our Cookie Policy lists what is set, by whom and for how long.

This section mainly describes the website. The cookies, advertising-measurement identifiers and Google technologies described below for the website are not used in the Android application, and the application does not read the advertising identifier of your device. Section 9.5 separately describes the usage analytics, crash reporting and install-source information that the Android application does collect. The other third-party components the application contains are the ones the service itself needs — Google Play for purchases, Google Sign-In if you choose it, delivery of push notifications, and the media server that carries a video call — and they are covered by section 4 and section 10.

9.1 Necessary technologies

These cannot be switched off, because the Services do not work without them. We use them on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing and securing the Services. They:

  • keep users signed in;
  • maintain account and service security;
  • remember settings and preferences, including your choice under section 9.2; and
  • provide and diagnose essential functionality.

9.2 Analytics and advertising measurement

We do use analytics, and we say so plainly. The website loads Google Analytics 4 (Google’s gtag.js) to understand how the site is found and used, and to measure the results of our own advertising. This may set cookies in your browser (for example _ga and _ga_<id>, and Google’s conversion-linking cookie) and may read the click identifiers an advertisement adds to the link you arrive on.

We do not sell advertising space on the Services, and we do not display third-party advertising on them. There is no advertising network embedded in the site, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anybody.

Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC process this data under Google’s own terms; where Google uses it for its own purposes it does so as an independent controller. Google’s own explanation of how it handles data from sites that use its services is published by Google.

9.3 Your choice, and how to change it

Before any of these tags load, all four of Google’s consent signals — storage for advertising, storage for analytics, user data for advertising and advertising personalisation — are set to denied. What happens next depends on where you are:

  • In the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, they stay denied unless you accept them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Refusing is exactly as easy as accepting, it takes the same single click, and nothing on the Services is withheld or degraded if you refuse.
  • Elsewhere, analytics runs by default, as the law of those countries permits, and you can turn it off at any time.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Your choice is stored in your browser and applies to that browser and device; clearing your browser storage clears the choice and you will be asked again. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on Google publishes for that purpose.

Our own record of how you arrived. Separately from the tags above, we record the page you landed on, the site that referred you and any campaign parameters we ourselves put in our advertisements, so that we can tell which of our advertisements work. That record is ours, is kept on our own servers, is not shared for advertising, and does not identify you by name. Where it would include an identifier belonging to Google or Meta, it is written only when section 9.2 allows it.

9.4 The other third parties on the site

Two further Google services run on the website. Neither sets a tracking cookie, neither is used for advertising, and neither depends on your answer under section 9.3 — they are named here because a list that omits what is inconvenient is not a list.

  • Web fonts. Pages are typeset in fonts fetched from Google’s font servers. That request sets no cookie, but it does disclose your IP address and browser to Google, and it happens before you answer anything, because a page must be typeset to be read.
  • Google Sign-In, only if you choose to sign in with Google instead of an email address and a password. Your Google account signs you in under Google’s own terms, using cookies on Google’s domains rather than ours.

If we ever introduce a further analytics, advertising or tracking technology, we will provide any notice and consent controls required by applicable law before using it, and we will list it in the Cookie Policy first.

9.5 Analytics and crash reporting in the Android application

Starting with the Android application published as build 37, the application uses the following Google services to help us keep it running and understand how it is used:

  • Firebase Analytics records app events — opening the app for the first time, registration, sign-in, a purchase (amount, currency and transaction identifier) and completing onboarding — so that we can understand how the application is used.
  • Google Play’s Install Referrer records the source of the installation.
  • Firebase Crashlytics records crash reports and diagnostic information — device model, operating-system version and the error’s stack trace — so that we can find and fix problems that make the application crash or behave incorrectly.

These events and reports do not include your email address, your name or the text of a message. The application does not collect the advertising identifier (AD_ID). Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC process this information on our behalf as a data processor, in the same capacity described for Google Analytics in section 9.2 and for our service providers generally in section 4.

The current version of the application does not provide an in-application setting to turn this off. If you no longer want this information collected from your device, you can delete your account as described in section 13, or uninstall the application.

10. When we disclose personal data

We may disclose relevant personal data, where reasonably necessary and legally permitted, to:

  • hosting, infrastructure, security and technical-service providers;
  • payment processors, acquirers, banks, card schemes and fraud-prevention providers;
  • email, messaging, video and media-service providers;
  • Google when you choose to use Google Sign-In;
  • customer-support providers and professional advisers;
  • courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies and other authorised recipients; and
  • a purchaser, investor or successor in connection with a merger, financing, restructuring or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Independent third parties process personal data under their own privacy notices where they act as separate controllers.

We do not sell personal data for money.

11. International transfers

Annabrides operates internationally and may use service providers, personnel or infrastructure located in different countries. Personal data may therefore be transferred to or accessed from outside the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or your country of residence.

Where UK or EU international-transfer restrictions apply, we use a lawful mechanism such as an adequacy regulation or decision, approved contractual clauses or another safeguard recognised by applicable law. Where required, we implement supplementary contractual, organisational or technical measures.

12. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. The applicable period depends on the account lifecycle, the nature and sensitivity of the data, payment and chargeback periods, legal and accounting obligations, safety risks, complaints, investigations and legal limitation periods.

In general:

  • account and profile information is retained while the account is active and during deletion processing;
  • messages and activity records are retained while needed to provide the Services and for proportionate safety, fraud-prevention, dispute or legal purposes;
  • payment and transaction records may be retained for up to seven years, or longer where law requires;
  • full identity documents are retained only for as long as needed for verification, fraud prevention, safety, complaints or legal obligations;
  • verification outcomes and limited fraud or ban-evasion indicators may be retained after account deletion where necessary to protect users and prevent repeated abuse;
  • support, complaint and investigation records are retained while needed to resolve the matter and defend legal rights; and
  • deleted data may remain temporarily in protected backups until the relevant backup is overwritten under the normal backup cycle.

When information is no longer required, we delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it.

13. Account deletion

You may request permanent deletion of your Annabrides account and associated personal data at:

https://annabrides.com/delete-account

The page is available without signing in. You may initiate the request by emailing support@annabrides.com with the subject line Account Deletion Request. Send the request from the email address associated with your account and include your username or account identifier. Do not send your password or complete payment-card details.

We may ask you to confirm control of the account or provide proportionate information needed to prevent fraudulent deletion. After verification, we will delete or anonymise the account, profile information, photographs, videos, messages and associated activity data, except information that must or may lawfully be retained.

Limited information may be retained for:

  • tax, accounting and payment records;
  • refunds, disputes and chargebacks;
  • fraud prevention, safety investigations and prevention of ban evasion;
  • compliance with law or a binding legal request; and
  • establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Retained information is access-restricted and is not used for unrelated purposes. Data may remain temporarily in protected backups until the applicable backup expires or is overwritten.

Account deletion is permanent and may result in the loss of unused credits, subject to applicable law and the Terms of Use. A request to close or deactivate an account is not treated as permanent deletion unless you clearly request deletion.

Annabrides does not currently provide a separate formal process for requesting deletion of selected personal data while keeping the account active. You may edit or remove available profile information using the account controls.

14. Suspended or fraudulent accounts

If an account is suspended, restricted or terminated for fraud, scams, impersonation, abuse, threats, security violations or serious breaches of our rules, we may retain limited identifiers, verification outcomes, evidence and risk records where necessary to document the incident, protect users, prevent re-registration or evasion and defend legal claims.

15. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, unlawful processing, alteration, loss, disclosure and destruction. Measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption, logging, monitoring, protected backups, restricted access to verification materials, confidentiality obligations and incident-response procedures.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials confidential and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

16. Children

Annabrides is intended only for adults aged 18 or over, or the higher age of legal majority where applicable. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts.

If we reasonably believe that a user does not meet the minimum-age requirement, we may request age verification, suspend or terminate the account and take appropriate action concerning the associated data. To report a suspected underage account, contact support@annabrides.com.

17. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and the circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • obtain information about our processing and access your personal data;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion or restriction of processing;
  • receive certain data in a portable format;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • object at any time to direct marketing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • complain to a competent data-protection authority.

These rights are not absolute. Legal exceptions may apply, including where information must be retained to comply with law, protect another person, prevent fraud or defend legal claims.

18. Exercising your rights and making complaints

Send requests to support@annabrides.com with the subject line Privacy Request or Data Protection Complaint. Provide enough information to identify the relevant account and explain the request.

We may request proportionate verification where we have reasonable doubts about identity. We respond within the time required by applicable law. Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR this is generally one month, subject to a lawful extension for complex or multiple requests.

You may also complain to a competent supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner's Office. If EU GDPR applies, you may complain to the authority in the EU or EEA country of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement.

19. Users in the European Union and European Economic Area

ANNABRIDES LTD is established in the United Kingdom and offers the Services to users in the European Union and European Economic Area. Where EU GDPR applies, ANNABRIDES LTD acts as controller unless another notice states otherwise, and users have the rights described in this Policy and under applicable EU law.

20. External services and links

The Services may contain links to external websites, payment pages or services that Annabrides does not control. Their own terms and privacy notices apply. Review those notices before providing information to an external service.

21. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when the Services, providers, processing activities or legal requirements change. The current version will be published with its Last updated date. Where a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the Services, email or another appropriate channel.

Updating this Policy does not replace obtaining consent where applicable law requires consent for a new processing activity.
