Child safety standards

The AnnaBrides website and the AnnaBrides mobile application are operated by ANNABRIDES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. These standards apply to the website, to the mobile application and to everyone who uses either of them: members and our own staff.

Our commitment

AnnaBrides and ANNABRIDES LTD prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form, without exception and regardless of where in the world the person responsible is. This includes, but is not limited to:

• child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any format — photographs, video, audio, drawings, text or generated imagery;
• sexualised depictions or descriptions of anyone under 18, real or fictional;
• grooming, sexual solicitation of a minor, sextortion or any attempt to make contact with a child for a sexual purpose;
• trafficking of minors, child marriage and any advertisement, offer or request for such activity;
• links to, or requests for, material or services of this kind elsewhere; and
• using AnnaBrides to reach a child, including through a profile that presents a minor as an adult.

There is no context in which this content or behaviour is acceptable here. We do not treat it as a matter of degree, and there is no warning step before we act.

An adults-only service

AnnaBrides is an adults-only dating service. Registration is restricted to people aged 18 or over, and every member confirms at registration that they meet that requirement; this is also a condition of the Terms and conditions. Women's profiles are reviewed before they are shown publicly, every account is open to review afterwards, and a profile that appears to belong to a minor is removed. Nobody under 18 may create an account, appear in a profile or take part in a conversation on the service.

If you believe an account belongs to someone under 18, please report it using one of the routes below rather than contacting the account yourself.

How to report

You can report suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation in any of these ways:

• In the app — use the Report button available on a profile or a conversation, and choose the reason that fits best.
• On the website — use the contact page and describe what you saw and where.
• By email — write to support@annabrides.com with the subject line Child safety report.

You do not need an account to send a report, and you do not need to be certain — a report made in good faith is never held against you. Please include the profile name or link, the date and anything else that helps us find the material. Do not forward, copy or store suspected child sexual abuse material yourself: describe where it is and let us retrieve it.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or the police first. Reporting to us is not a substitute for that.

What happens when you report

Every report of this kind is reviewed by our moderation team and is given priority over other reports. Where a report is confirmed, we:

• remove the content;
• permanently close the account and block the person behind it from returning;
• preserve the relevant records so that they can be given to the authorities.

An account may be suspended while a report is being reviewed. We do not disclose the identity of the person who made the report to the person reported.

Reporting to the authorities

ANNABRIDES LTD is committed to reporting apparent child sexual abuse material and credible reports of child sexual exploitation to the competent law-enforcement authorities and, where applicable, to the relevant national child-protection organisation or hotline, in accordance with the law that applies to us and to the people involved. We co-operate with lawful requests from those authorities and retain the material and account records needed for an investigation for as long as the law requires or permits, and no longer.

Compliance

We comply with the child-safety laws that apply to the service, and with the child safety standards required of applications distributed through Google Play. These standards are reviewed at least once a year and whenever the law or the service changes materially; the date of the last review is shown at the end of this page.
