Dating someone in Kharkiv

Kharkiv was Ukraine’s student capital before 2022 and, with fewer people, still is: a city of universities, engineering and medicine, forty kilometres from the Russian border. The women who list it as their city have mostly stayed by choice, and that tells you something about them — practical, attached to their families and their city, not easily impressed. A good number are over forty; many are professionals; Russian is the everyday language for most, Ukrainian is universal, and English varies.
